The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) on Thursday, reiterated that there will be no changes in the prices of petroleum products.
This statement was conveyed by Olufemi Soneye, the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPCL.
Soneye attributed the supply tightness of fuel in certain regions of Nigeria to logistical challenges. However, he assured that these issues have been addressed.
He urged Nigerians to refrain from panic buying, emphasizing that there is an adequate supply of products in the country.
According to the statement, “NNPC Ltd confirms that the cause of the tightness in fuel supply has been resolved. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC Ltd) wishes to clarify that the tightness in the supply of Premium Motor Spirit currently being experienced in some areas across the country is as a result of logistics issues and that they have been resolved. It also wishes to reiterate that the prices of petroleum products are not changing. It urges Nigerians to avoid panic buying as there is a sufficiency of products in the country.”
