…Debunks Fake News About closing their doors against former governor

The Imo State chapter of Labour Party hierarchy led by the State Chairman, Barr Callistus Ihejiagwa has debunked news making the rounds that the party had closed its doors against a former Governor of Imo State, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha and his numerous supporters, stopping them joining the party.

In release which was jointly signed by the State Chairman, Barr Callistus Ihejiagwa and Secretary, Engr Paulinus Udechukwu, the party stated that Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha is an asset to any political party, and was is free to join their party along with his supporters.

The Party frowned at mischief makers and peddlers of fake news, stating out that no other person possesses the authority to determine how the party is to be run expect the State Executive members.

The Party revealed that new registrations and revalidation of members was currently going on across the State, and called on those who wished to join the party, to go to the Wards and register.

Imo Labour Party called on the general public to disregard the fake news claiming that it was the handwork of opposition parties and their agents.

MaaziTV recalls that the former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha tendered his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP recently.

There has been speculations over where he might move to next.

His recent meeting with the Abia State governor, Alex Otti, has further fueled speculations that he might join Labour Party.
