Well meaning Nigerians have described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration as being serious with the issues of insecurity in Nigeria.
The have noted the Honourable minister of state for Defence, Bello Matawalle and the current service chiefs as a beacons of hope in the Nigeria insecurity crisis.
According to the president of Middle-belt Youth Federation, Obaje Almustapha “since Matawalle’s appointment as Defence Minister of state by President Bola Tinubu, Bello Matawalle has emerged as a pivotal figure in the country’s battle against insecurity, thereby posing as a big threat to crafty enemies of President Tinubu who are hell bent on orchestrating efforts to undermine the current administration. Under the current administration of President Bola Tinubu, Matawalle significant leadership style healthily interwovened with applaudable strides of the current service Chiefs of the Nation have been mitigating the various security challenges plaguing the nation”.
President of the Emerging Leaders Forum of Nigeria, ELFON, Godstime Chukwubuikem Samuel has mentioned that Matawalle’s tenure in the Defence Ministry has coincided with a noticeable abatement in insecurity across Nigeria. Through strategic planning and decisive action, he has developed defense roadmaps that have dealt decisive blows to insurgent groups, criminal networks and other threats to national security.
Godstime noted that the Minister’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives and properties of citizens has garnered widespread praise and commendation, he explained.
“However, amidst these achievements, Matawalle has faced attempts to undermine his efforts by those who feels that his continous stay as Defense minister is relentlessly opposed to their devilish gimmicks and plans against the President Tinubu’s government hence their periodic sponsorship of protests and campaigns of blackmail against the proactive and resilient Matawalle in a bid to distract him from his duty of ensuring the defence of our dear Nation”
“As independent monitors, It’s imperative to recognize that the advancements made in Nigeria’s security landscape under Matawalle’s stewardship are not mere coincidences but the result of strategic planning, collaborative efforts and unwavering dedication. His leadership has inspired confidence among security agencies and instilled hope in the hearts of ordinary Nigerians”.
Another Nigerian, Ayodele Oluremi who is the secretary of Oduduwa People’s Roundtable in her own submission said “in a country where insecurity has posed significant challenges to development and progress couple of months back, Matawalle’s tenure as Defence Minister of State represents a ray of hope. His resolve together with that of our combatant ready service chiefs to confront security threats head-on, coupled with their unwavering commitment to the welfare and security of citizens and territorial borders, underscores their suitability for the role”.
Amb. Godstime called on Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Honourable minister of defence and the security agents to defeat the war against insecurity saying “As the nation continues to grapple with security challenges, it is essential to rally behind leaders like President Tinubu, Bello Matawalle and the service chiefs who have demonstrated competence, integrity and a genuine commitment to the well-being of the populace, sovereignty of our nation and sustaining her democratic status”.
“Despite various degrees of attacks by enemies of the nation to undermine the President Tinubu’s government in disguise through the sponsorship of protests at the EFCC office, Matawalle remains steadfast in his assigned duty with glaring commitment to the renewed hope agenda geared towards prosperous future for all Nigerians”
