Yesterday being July the 20th of 2024, at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Headquarters in Ubomiri, Hon. Collins Ugorji formally announced his candidacy for the chairmanship of Mbaitoli Local Government Area in Imo State.
The election is slated to take place in September 2024.
Ugorji’s declaration comes after he successfully submitted the nomination forms at the APC State Headquarters in Owerri.
Addressing a gathering of party members, supporters, and journalists, Ugorji laid out his vision for Mbaitoli LGA, focusing on peace, development, and unity. “My primary goal is to foster peace among rival factions within our party and ensure harmony in our community. I believe that only through unity can we achieve the progress we all desire,” he stated passionately.
