Independence Day Message from the Executive Chairman of Mbaitoli LGA, Hon. Ifunanya Nwanegwo
My dear people of Mbaitoli, the great people of Imo State, and my beloved Nigerians,
On this special day, October 1st, we celebrate the 64th anniversary of our beloved country’s independence. It is a day that reminds us of the sacrifices made by our founding fathers who fought tirelessly for the freedom we enjoy today. Their courage, resilience, and unwavering hope for a united, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria have given us the foundation upon which we continue to build.
As we reflect on our journey as a nation, let us remember that our strength lies in our diversity.
From the rich cultural heritage of Mbaitoli to the vibrant spirit of Imo State and the entire nation, we are bound by a shared commitment to unity, peace, and progress.
Despite the challenges we face, we have always demonstrated the ability to rise, stronger and more determined, to build a better future for ourselves and generations to come.
Today, I call on the people of Mbaitoli and all Nigerians to renew our faith in the promise of our great nation. Let us work together, hand in hand, across all divides, to create the Nigeria we envision—a land of opportunity, justice, and prosperity for all.
As your Executive Chairman, I remain dedicated to fostering development, empowering our youths, and ensuring that the voices of the people of Mbaitoli are heard and respected.
May this Independence Day reignite in us the spirit of patriotism and remind us that, no matter how tough the road may seem, we are all part of a journey towards a brighter and more united Nigeria.
